If you are scammed by a bait & switch at a dishonest Limousine service you should never pay more than 25% of the original bill. Leys say an old Escalade shows up, and you were promised an an '07. You have the right to refuse service for a full refund, & not take the vehicle. You can also insist on a discount of all but the driver fees. This applies to all unexpected downgrades. Also, please report these services to all Consumer Business Bureaus.
If you are upgraded to a higher class of vehicle, you are NOT responsible for any additional charge or difference unless you have requested the upgrade.
If you cannot view a companies fleet at one central office location, do not do business with them.
They are probably NOT a real business, and do not actually have the vehicles they claim. All legal transportation services operationg in Duval County must have a legitimate physical business & office location. Go to the ofice before reserving. Avoid fly by night companies that tend to get your money - Then Fly!
We still own the ONLY Lexus, Infiniti, Range Rover, or Land Yacht Limousines in the area, and have only authorized one other company in town to place any of these vehicles on their website.
Check with the Local Business Bureau.
Avoid late companies & those with a history of late arrivals or no shows. Several are known for cancelling at the very last minute if they get another reservation for more money. Some have a habit of knowingly sending vehicles with no A/C, broken stereos, and other improperly operating electronics.
Look for the DOT numbers at the bottom of the drivers door. All motor vehicles actually designed to carry 16 people or more, driver included, on public streets and highways are required to have USDOT, US Department of Transportation, registration.
